“HISTORY OF DREAMS” is the title of an exhibition of computer-composed digital paintings and prints which opens: 18th March 2008, 5pm-7pm. PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY(1792-1822) unbound the Greek Prometheus myth as a triumph of the imagination over reason. That a digital artist links with an earlier form of romanticism suggests that the notion of beauty is still strong in currency and that digital art can serve as a contemporary form of poetry, honoring the imagination. These images are, like Shelley’s work, both bound and unbound, with an effect which reconnects in the individual …the stuff that dreams are made of… The hunt for the title binds the work.
